I found this old photograph of my Grandfather sitting in a beer garden in Belgium, celebrating Armistice Day at the end of WWI.  He's sitting with his army buddies, not jubilant, maybe relieved.  There's a note in his handwriting that says, "Celebrating in a beer garden, post Armistice Day – 11:00 am – 11 Nov.
