There wasn't a dry eye at Bartley Ranch as Reno Mayor Bob Cashell read a proclamation declaring Sunday, March 27, 2011 Maison Ortiz day.  Even the Mayor had to stop and compose himself as he described the teenager who passed away after a snowboarding accident in January.

New York Times Covers Mining Competition at UNR

Women Aviators bring their Passion for Flying to Reno

They land on aircraft carriers in the middle of the ocean.  They fly passengers and cargo to exotic cities around the world.  They maintain airplanes and helicopters.  Women aviators number in the thousands, and this year they held their world-wide conference at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno.
