Citibank finds a way to Avoid Cancellation after Thirty Years. Priceless.

Update:  I got a call from the same nice lady who monitors the Twitter feed and she had good news.  Citibank found a way to keep my account open after all.  So this story has a happy ending.  They even managed to lower my rate going forward, instead of raising it.  That is priceless.

Visitors from Ukraine, South Africa now call Reno Second Home

Ukrainian tourism delegates serenaded Governor Brian Sandoval with a folk song at the Northern Nevada International Center's Global Gala at the Peppermill April 8th.  The Governor wasn't even supposed to be there.  He was filling in for his wife Kathleen, the honorary gala chair.  She came down with a bug and couldn't attend.

Record Snowfall Lengthens Ski Season

The snow days that had us shoveling and digging out of our driveways have the ski areas celebrating.  Mt. Rose and Squaw Valley have both sent me e-mails announcing their extended seasons.  Kayla Anderson at Mt. Rose sent me these photos from the Chutes, which tell the real story.  Spring skiing is in effect!
